Minister’s Musings: Nov 19

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to gather with our Native brothers and sisters in the spirit of understanding, healing, and unity. This sacred time of sharing reminds us that gratitude is not just a feeling - it is a way of being. In Unity, we teach that gratitude opens the heart to the ever-present good of God. When we give thanks for all of life - its beauty, its diversity, and even its challenges - we awaken to the truth that we are one family in Spirit, each expression a vital part of the whole.

As we listen, learn, and break bread together, may our gratitude become a living prayer that blesses the world.

Affirmation: With an open heart and thankful spirit, I honor the divine in all people and celebrate our shared oneness in God.

Minister’s Musing: Nov 12

Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is simply have fun. Joy is a divine quality, a radiant expression of the Christ within us. When we laugh, play, and let our hearts be light, we align with the creative flow of Spirit. As I prepare to visit my daughter and head to Disney World, I’m reminded that life isn’t meant to be all prayer and practice—it’s also meant to be celebration and delight. God expresses through our laughter, our awe, and even our childlike wonder as we let go of control and trust the moment to unfold in joy.

There is something profoundly healing about giving our inner child permission to play. In those moments, we remember our wholeness and reconnect with the innocence that knows life is good. We stop striving and start allowing. Spirit moves easily through a heart that’s having fun. So this week, I’m opening myself to pure enjoyment, to love expressed through laughter, and to the divine adventure of being alive.

Affirmation: I celebrate life with childlike joy, knowing that fun is a sacred act of faith and freedom.
